SponsorBlock lets you skip over sponsors, intros, outros, subscription reminders, and other annoying parts of YouTube videos. SponsorBlock is a crowdsourced browser extension that lets anyone submit the start and end times of sponsored segments and other segments of YouTube videos. Once one person submits this information, everyone else with this extension will skip right over the sponsored segment.

You can also skip over non music sections of music videos.

This is open source and the entire database is public.

This doesn't do anything about sponsored videos that appear at the top of YouTube search results. They still appear.

Works great but sometimes I get an issue where SponsorBlock says "No youtube video found", so the sponsor obviously doesn't skip. A refresh fixes it, but it's getting annoying. Is this a known issue, any fix? Thanks.

One of the single best extensions on the store. I forgot that sponsored segments exist aside from creators occasionally saying "now back to the content" unprompted. Going on youtube on my phone is jarring. This just works.

Users can optionally submit new segments by marking start/end times, and vote on existing segments.

Source JS files are minified/bundled, making exact line-by-line analysis harder, but key functions (generateUserID, onInstall handler) are clearly identifiable.
