SponsorBlock lets you skip over sponsors, intros, outros, subscription reminders, and other annoying parts of YouTube videos. SponsorBlock is a crowdsourced browser extension that lets anyone submit the start and end times of sponsored segments and other segments of YouTube videos. Once one person submits this information, everyone else with this extension will skip right over the sponsored segment.

You can also skip over non music sections of music videos.

This is open source and the entire database is public.

In a few months of use it already saved me 10 full hours. Its crazy how much wasted time you are actually spending watching youtube videos without sponsorblock. Easy to use and easy to contribute. Probably the most usefull addons i have besides ublock origin.

Does it's job, considering there are segments to skip submitted. I hope that this plugin gets A LOT of attention. A dream would be if everyone uses this to submit trash on videos so that others gain a lot of time.

Install extension → it auto-generates an anonymous userID → extension automatically fetches known segments for any YouTube video from sponsor.ajay.app server → skips segments in real-time during playback. Users can optionally submit new segments by marking start/end times, and vote on existing segments.

Source JS files are minified/bundled, making exact line-by-line analysis harder, but key functions (generateUserID, onInstall handler) are clearly identifiable.
