I have used many ad blockers in the past. some of them have become convoluted and confusing so I tried this one, having no idea how to use it and never using it before. It was really easy to figure out and once you do, your "browsing experience" is so much better. It not only blocks stuff but it let's you see what site or whatever that was trying to get through, and even WHAT it has blocked.I wish I could show a screenshot to make more sense but basically it's like Observed activities 2 Advertising 1 Hosting 1 and then it will tell you who was doing it. like this. Advertising 1 Facebook (11) Hosting 1 Facebook CDN (17) that's literally just from going to facebook.com and trying to sign in. it's WILD. This is getting long but I always read reviews so I want to make this thorough. There is an option to "pause" it on certain pages specifically and you can choose for how long. Or you can put in a site or link etc that you want it to trust or not block ads on (for example I use chrome and I use https://tab.gladly.io/newtab/ because you can use it to donate to charities just by using it) so it has ads on it, (you can choose targeted or not aka if they track you) but the ads are the point (they aren't intrusive they are at the bottom of the page kind of thing) so I can still have ghostery on but tell it that specific page only is ALLOWED to show ads) so anyway this is long AF but I hope this helps someone. especially if you don't know what you're doing or find other ones too complicated. (This would be such a shorter explination if I could share a screenshot!!! but there you go)
it works kind of fine, but info updates are way too aggressive, it won't let you close the popup and interrupts the entire navigation, this is a flaw on the design, if they change this, the qualification will definitely go higher, but for now, this is extremely bothering

Introduced a feature where ghostery will disable itself, based on user submissions.....so they created a system for entities to abuse so that they can get ghostery turned off on their websites. Why would i EVER allow a privacy/security focused tool to disable itself without my input? Ridiculous, used this for years but now its time to say goodbye forever. Mark my words this feature will lead to someone's death.
If I am being honest It's actually better than UBlock Origin (in my opinion though) and It's actually quicker for me by 10x not even exaggerating, Keep it up developers! you're making millions of people lives easier! <3
Great Extension, barely had any ads and YouTube doesn't detect it, I recommend it.
