I love it, it is great...so easy to check your mail. It is right at hand!!! GREAT JOB, GOOGLE!!!!!
Like people are saying it doesn't update the # of unread msgs until you actually click on the button/icon. That's a showstopper - for example right now the icon is telling me I have 13 new msgs when I actually only have 1. Would be nice to have the icon flash upon new mail; also support for multiple GMail accounts using colors (the # unread box could alternate between colors and flash for new mail for each different Gmail account set up) would be cool feature. But if the first issue can't be fixed, no sense wasting time adding features to what otherwise used to be a cool little informative app. Funny although its useless I STILL keep it installed just in case we see a new update that will fix this bug.
As much as I really like this app it crashes and freezes A LOT, almost daily regardless of whether i'm on my home or work computer.

Badge updates barely at random. Regularly goes gray with "?" sign. When I have read my mails, it takes forever for badge to update (unless I click the icon). Worst of all: I can't set it up to notify me about emails just in my primary inbox, I am getting notified about every update/social/promo email.
I really like this app. It lags with notifications of new emails sometimes. With the new Gmail layout it would be great if you could have the notification feature ignore emails from the social or Promotions tab. Thanks!
It doesn't refresh the unread mail number although I have read all the mails
I love this, but with the new gmail interface, can you only show notification from primary inbox and not social, promotion, updates etc. Only primary.
