Nothing fantastic, just spins and displays the number of unread emails you have in your inbox. My biggest gripe is that it can be laggy; I've had emails sitting in my inbox for 30+ minutes, and it never showed a notification.

Idea dodatku świetna - lecz wykonanie bardzo słabe i pozostawia wiele do życzenia. Często przycisk pokazuje jako "wylogowany". Muszę uruchamiać przycisk, żeby wiedzieć czy dostałem wiadomość - samo się nie odświeża... 3 gwiazdki za sam pomysł. Lepiej byłoby wykonać coś w formie komunikatora(jak tlen) - mógłby być nawet jako dodatek do przeglądarki.
Meh, very simple but somehow useful. Can't consider this to a very good extent that it utilizes signed in accounts that much. Clicking the icon just redirects you to GMail which, of course, could be done in a jiffy. Though, an enhancement would really be appreciated like allowable to send emails, preview emails, etc. Will be waiting for good.

please develop the ability to filter notification by gmail major categories - ie only show me how many primary emails I have.
Not certain what the other complaints are about, read them all. And while many have been corrected, so they say, I did not notice the problems then. I have also used the Gmail Notifier (Desktop) which I prefer, and still shows up from time to time, or is that the G+ Bell. Nevertheless I prefer Desktop notifications, but they are invasive. So Google Mail Checker for the win. There is a message from my baby now, thank you GMC.
Works well, but doesn't revert to "zero unread" while reading the last unread email. This is confusing because it looks like there's a new email, when in fact you're reading the mail it's alerting you to. Only when you go back to the inbox is the alert cleared.
