Makes Chrome freeze
Useful, but missing functionality for something so fundamental. - It doesn't seem to update the unopened email count after I've opened Gmail and read the email. However when i click it again, it then updates itself to the correct unopened email count. There's no right-click option to "refresh" either. - I would also like it to go grey/fade when there's no emails, otherwise it draws my attention for no reason.

Yes, it shows me how many UNREAD email messages I have. However, chances are, if you're anything like me, you may have THOUSANDS of unread emails. This is where the benefit of this add-in starts to dwindle. I can't remember if I had 1,001 unread emails or 1,002. Showing me the unread emails (in total) provides very little USEFUL information. A better approach, would be for this app to show you how many NEW emails you have, SINCE THE LAST TIME you checked in to your email. Seeing a 4 (unread and new messages) is much more useful to the end user. That said, if google could give us the option of either UNREAD or "NEW & UNREAD", this could extremely enhance the functionality of this chrome extension. Further, as many other reviewers have stated, it does not auto update when an email has been received. This is little more than a GMAIL shortcut.

Used to love this extension, but lately clicking it does nothing. I don't care about the unread count as much as having a dedicated gmail button, and if it isn't going to work as that, there's no reason to keep it installed.
It sucks. It's often gray and with a question mark. I wanted this to know when I have new email but this just doesn't help me in that way.
