If you have your chrome opened and then someone sends you a new e-mail. The notifier won't update until you restart chrome. It only reminds you every time you launch chrome not while you have chrome opened.
Been using this for 2 years now. Never failed me!

I use this extension a lot and install it on many clients computers. The only thing is most of the time me and my clients can get the gist of a message just by the subject line so we don't read them. Or we're just not interested and don't read them. Thus this extension tells us that we have 2000+ unread messages and most people, including myself, are too lazy to go back and open them so they're considered read. So it becomes more of a bookmark to gmail. I would like to see how many actual new messages I have using a RESET button or something... you know, it shows you new messages from this day forward. thanks.

When its working its nice but when it says that you have 7 messages and you check and there's none or it says there's none and you check cause another device says you got messages.
