This is the most awesome app to look up complex words while reading on-line. The great part is the attention is never diverted from whatever you are reading.

Loving it. No longer need any other dictionaries -- apps or sites. I added a shortcut to activate this extension, and can pretty much compose mouse-free, looking up words and synonyms by selecting the text that I type and hitting the shortcut key. Now, if I could also scroll the results window with arrow keys... I can, but only once I transfer focus to it ...with a mouse click. Come on Google, what's wrong with Tab? Please liberate us from mice tyranny! (And while you are at it, please fix Shift-F10 in Chrome to invoke context menu, like the rest of the world is used to.) Otherwise, I love having synonyms, pronunciation, phonetic spelling, multiple word forms (plural for nouns, all tenses for verbs, etc.) and the variety of sources for meanings and examples. Even some funky ones every now and then, listing special meanings or uses. Entertaining and educational. Bravo! (Here is another idea. How about adding words frequency? How common each word is on the web? It's good to be Google for things like that.)
