This is one of my favorite extensions ever. The default settings of "double click" to show definition are pretty obnoxious but trivial to change to "ctrl-select". Nice work on this extension. ++ and kudos and stuff and things...

Eliminates the need to open a separate dictionary tab — users can double-click any word on any webpage to see its definition in a pop-up bubble

User installs extension and optionally configures language/preferences in options page. While browsing any website, double-clicking a word triggers a content script that sends the word to the background service worker, which fetches the definition from Google's dictionary API (dictionaryextension-pa.googleapis.com) and displays it in a pop-up bubble. The toolbar popup also allows manual word lookup. If enabled, looked-up words are stored locally in chrome.storage for later review.
