Cool Concept, But Buggy and Unmaintained Google Tasks Board seemed like a fantastic idea when I first used it a few years ago. It offered a simple, Kanban-style interface for managing my Google Tasks, which was a welcome change from the basic built-in app. However, my recent experience has been frustratingly disappointing. Since a couple of months ago, I've been unable to log in to the app. It simply hangs at the login screen, rendering it completely unusable. I've tried various troubleshooting steps, from clearing my cache and cookies to reinstalling the app, but nothing seems to work. Further research revealed that I'm not the only one facing this issue. Numerous users have reported the same login problem on the Chrome Web Store and other platforms. Unfortunately, there haven't been any updates or fixes from the developers in months. This lack of support and maintenance raises serious concerns about the app's future and reliability. While I appreciate the concept and functionality that Google Tasks Board once offered, its current state makes it unusable. Until the developers address the login bug and demonstrate a commitment to ongoing maintenance, I cannot recommend this app. Pros: Simple Kanban interface for Google Tasks Integrates seamlessly with Google ecosystem Cons: Persistent login bug for several months No updates or communication from developers Lack of support and future uncertainty Recommendation: I recommend looking for alternative Kanban-style task management solutions such as Trello, Todoist, or Monday.com. These apps offer similar functionality with more robust features, active development, and reliable support.
