You sit down at the computer, and you swear you'll be productive. Next thing you know, it's twelve hours later. You've checked your email, updated your Facebook status, blown through 200 pages of Reddit, read every article in your Twitter feed, looked up your favorite band on Wikipedia, vanity googled yourself, cyber-stalked your ex, browsed through all your high-school crushes' Instagram feeds, and lost a week's pay playing online poker.
What you haven't done is WORK.

A simple web site blocker to keep you focused and enhance your productivity
The Freedom website blocker gives you control over distracting websites, so you can focus on what matters most.
Limit your time spent on distracting sites. Limit is an extension that allows you to set time limits for distracting websites.
Beautifully interrupts mindless browsing, and gets you back to your life.
Eradicate distractions and take back control of your browsing
seems to be fairly easily thwarted by "incognito window", but i guess at least that means you have to retype all your social media passwords. the advert for a very expensive alternative on every blocked page is weird.
I've used this for half a decade now, and it has been my favorite extension to Chrome ever. It allows some relaxation time (I have it set to 15 min), but heavily encourages me to be more productive. It also has a "nuclear" option, where you can quickly shut down an urge to procrastinate and get back towards focusing. It's also useful for kids, so they don't spend hours on e.g. YouTube, getting into its shady corners. I am so thankful for this extension!
It is a great extension, but had to remove it since it polutes my devtools console with error: 'Unchecked runtime.lastError: The message port closed before a response was received', I use devtools a lot so it I just had to remove it. Please fix this and get 5 start. edit: for now it is gone :) so 5 stars it is.
lebih memuaskan aja
Everything works fine apart console messages (index):1 Unchecked runtime.lastError: The message port closed before a response was received.
It's been super useful for me generally. However, recently, it's been blocking some of my work sites at random (it started blocking TurboTax until I temporarily removed it from Chrome, and just now it was blocking an online database I'm using.) It would also be nice if there were an option to completely block some sites and allow limited time on others.
Works in principle, but it is rather too unflexible. - Some new settings are only applied on the next working day, which is necessary for day to day utility of the extension, but rather annoying when first setting it up. - There is no way to test whether you have correctly configured the blocking behavior of the nuclear option; Do it wrong and you're locked out for at least an hour, unless you remove the extension and start configuration from scratch. - In the same manner, there is no way to abort the nuclear option short of uninstalling the app. - There is no on-demand blocking other than the nuclear option, and no way to say "today I'm off work, don't block me". - The "challenge" option requires you to type-copy a text before you are allowed to change options. It prevents fulfillment by copy/paste by counting key strokes. Sadly, it also requires you to type it *without a single typo* which is too much. Typing the long text should be sufficient effort to discourage distraction, to get it right without a single typo is just frustrating, if you're not a touch-typist or don't have a good keyboard.
helpful, though while using it together with 1 tab also as a session saver, often it happens a tab goes to the stay focused address:http://www.stayfocusd.com/?background&customMsg= and then when that session is saved (sessionbuddy), or you go back to those tabs reopening chrome etc. you can not go back on that tab, to see the original tab that was blocked, so you basically 'lose' those saved tabs this is a major issue, I hope it will be addressed and fixed!, otherwise its a helpful extension -edit for 3 stars to 2 stars, as this issue didn't not get addressed nor resolved
It was nice! I would just suggest to be very cautious when enabling the challenge setting. My aim was to add another allowed site, but instead of an easy in and out of settings, i spend 40 mins trying to type my challenge code in and I eventually gave up. Overall, pretty good! I just wish it could be a regulated time for the individual websites instead of overall, but c'est la vie.
