I've recommended this tool for years. There are students at my last 2 schools who ended up installing this extension cuz they couldn't fool around on my computer during our group projects when deadlines were approaching or cuz I set it up on their browsers just prior to finals week cramming sessions started. This extension got a shoutout on an episode of The Productivity Show podcast cuz I spammed how great it is on their Slack. There's a random group of guys on a Christian Discord server who (hopefully) no longer binge-watch porn like it's Netflix every night and weekend cuz I told them to idk if prayer works for temptations but having the right tools can't hurt either. Etc etc. I'm honestly not sure how many people I've shared this with via word of mouth, nor what percentage of the past decade this has been a faithful companion while I browsed the world wide interwebs, so I'm just gonna answer both of those questions with "A LOT, way more than II'd care to admit" and now that it's prompting me to leave a review on the actual store I got it from II'm gonna recommend it here too. This is by far the most opinionated distraction blocker I've ever tried, and that's an unexpectedly brilliant strong-suiit that kept me coming back to it despite however many more I test-drove. Are there more simpler or straightforward ones out there better suited to beginners just getting started? Sure. Heck, are there more complex and nuanced ones that are far more configurable than this one? Perhaps so. BUT! Is there another one out there that will drive you to the depths of frustration as it makes you question your typing literacy and then literally threaten you with kitten torture whenever you try to cheat the system you previously decided to set up? I doubt iit. It goes to wonderfully weird lengths to make sure you honor that system you set up for yourself, and I genuinely respect that the dev designed it in such a brilliantly annoying way. I have a love-hate relationship with the "stalker mode" function that legit just creeps on me wherever I go. I see it's metaphorical eyes peeking out from behind the infobar every so often and it gives me shivers down my spine. Shivers of that are simultaneously filled with glad relief at being held accountable and yet at the same time makes me want to instantly flip the table over and scream colorfully profane insults at my screen that I'm daffo fasho frfr not cheating this time, so stop stalking me already and leave me tf alone! And if I ignore the creeper and keep cheating? BOOM. I get hit with a deadly dose of nuclear radiation fallout. It doesn't help me develop any superpowers though, unless you count a sudden surge of aggrieved aggravation as one. I could go on and on. TL;DR This is a highly opinionated piece of technology, and in this case, that is definitely a strength and not a con. Want a more generic solution? Looks elsewhere, and may it serve your needs well. Are your procrastination problems quite chronic in nature because you get uber creative and work hard as hell to distract yourself so that you wont have to do the other creative work you're responsible for? Well then look no further, voila, this tailor-made swiss-army-knife is the custom-built solution to suit your very specific needs. Forgive me for recommending you the most frustratingly effective distrraction-blocker on the planet. I wish you the best of luck on your incredibly irate future filled with irritating insights as to what distracts you the most and begrudging acceptance of what you should really focus on. Try not to break your keyboard in half out of spiteful anger and scream insults at the screen too much whenever the all-seeing eye of sauron turns red. May god have mercy on your pitiful, poor (but productive!) soul

It works really well. Yet it is a little too easy to avoid. Unfortunately, It doesn't work in incognito mode, as it disables all google account functions and addons, so in the end, you can just open another kind of tab. Though, it is still better than using chrome without it. If that somehow can be fixed, it will be the greatest google extension of all time!
