Overview
This extension provides a simple way to open any YouTube video (including videos embedded in other sites/pages) in a "popout" window which you can freely position and resize.
Usage
When viewing any YouTube video, whether directly YouTube, or embedded on any other website, you can either:
- Right-click on the video and click the "Popout Player" option (at the bottom of the menu that is displayed)
- Click the popout player icon (a square with a smaller square coming out of the top right corner), which can be found in the lower right corner of the video (by the settings and fullscreen icons)

Fantastic addon and almost what I have been looking for, for what seems like ages. What it make it more amazing for me, is if there was a simple icon inside which could allow you to turn on and off sit on top. Certainly so pleased that I have come across this tho :) Thank You!
Great extension. PROS - can remember and restore window position and size - can loop vide - can reuse existing popout when selecting another video COUPLE SUGGESTIONS 1) It would be fantastic - but may not be possible - to remove the window chrome. Specifically, the titlebar. I always find the window titlebar ugly and distracting Especially on a dark wallpaper, it's bright and looks bad on top of the video. The next best thing would be if it was possible somehow to force a dark titlebar so it's not as visible. 2) An option to disable Youtube History for whatever plays in the popout would be really good too. I routinely clean up my history to get better suggestions and going on a music binge is always a hassle. This would help a lot.
Combined with Windows PowerToys "Always On Top," this extension is amazing!
10/10 perfect Does what is says, no nonsense, you can even close the original youtube tab.
Literally useless, it dosen't stay on top outside chrome. Don't download it just a waste of time.

why did they build if it get in background after shifting another tab useless

Usually pop outs are so you can browse other stuff or game whiles watching a video, but the video doesn't stay on top of the screen. In other words this extension doesn't do what its meant to do. However thanks to one of the reviews i found there's a solution to this without the need of these badly executed extensions. Right clicking twice on the video you're watching, and click "picture in picture" to have to stay on top of your screen no matter what. Hope this helps.
