doesn't seem to work for calling out from the browser. Only gives the option to call out using google phone, not 'hangouts'. I can't get 'hangouts' to work very well, either for calling out.

It used to be great, but now it is constantly crashing and needs to be reloaded. It will crash even during a call!
This used to be a fantastic extension, but seems to be not maintained very well, it's buggy and frustrating to use now. Too bad, this was very useful at one time.
Google Voice pop-out extension makes things really convenient where you can surf the web, do multiple tasks and easily text or call directly from your desktop.
It uses my cell phone to make the call, if I wanted that I'd just use it, I want it to use the net to make a call, that's why it's called "Voice over IP". The IT's that put this together had an extra bowl of stupid flakes for breakfast.
