It doesn't work properly on Chrome: 1. no option to display it as an app. 2. scroll bar not working. 3. no search function.
I really love this app... especially the extension with the Chrome browser. it has a dialog box located in the menu bar for easy access which is convenient for me since just using a mouse to be productive does not always work. My notebook has touch sense capabilities. I can honestly just concentrate on 1 device and do not have to cycle through 3 or 4 other devices to perform simple tasks.
With the Google Voice extension added to my Google Chrome, I now have my Google Voice number connected on all my devices. I can be reached with my Google Voice number no matter where I am. Thank you Google for making my life easier and better!
This extension sucks. Needs a major modern overhaul. Needs to be on par with Hangouts extension. Needs RCS, MMS video, and high resolution picture support.
Since 2011 I have kept google voice installed on my devices. It will always be back up when I'm in between my damaged for replacement or repairs with my current phone . a user friendly and trustworthy app/extension, offers everything one would need to connect in our worlds modern times, .... Ever try forming an emoji to send out using smoke signals? lets face it Google voice spoils us
It is so amazing and simple.
It is rare that this extension works as indicated, and often the only way to get time to work correctly is to keep trying, loading and reloading until the extension connects correctly. More than 30 % of the calls made lack a "voice" connection for the receiver of the call to hear the call. Technology to the conceptual underpinnings of said extension shall ungo inherit nuptial design faults, (suspect of the Google platform lacking a proper-fix understanding).
I liked the extension until it doesn't register than I don't have any new messages. It thinks I have 5. I've marked all as read, and I've cleared data. I've also removed the extension and got it again, but nothing. So I'm going to remove it again. Bummer.
Do not use this for important phone calls or any phone calls for that matter! Some of your calls will go straight to voice mail and you will miss them. I missed an important job opportunity using my google voice number. Never again. It's inconsistent and unreliable. I'd give it zero stars if I were able.
Can't use it, because it reports "The Chrome extension only works with Google Voice accounts that use a Google Voice number or use voicemail" even if I try to use it from a tab where I am already logged in to voice.google.com with my Google Voice account (which uses a Google Voice number and voicemail).
