Extension no longer works at all. I've tried reloading, and reinstalling. Still does not work anymore. Guess this is the next step to Hangouts domination. Please integrate GV into Hangouts and complete this already! It's been long enough. ---- This is a great extension for my GV phone number. Have read some other reviews saying you cannot call from it except when it forwards to your phone. This is not entirely correct. You must have Gmail open in a tab, then click the "Phone to call with" drop down and select "Google Chat". However, this is quite annoying when you don't have the Gmail window open. Then it says "Calling you" and disconnects immediately. Never makes the call. An easy solution to this would be open up a Gmail window/tab when someone selects Google Chat as the calling medium. Not the best solution, but a solution nonetheless. Also, phone numbers that have been called are not saved either in the contacts or in the "Number to call" box so numbers have to be retyped in if they aren't in your contacts. Would be helpful to have these numbers saved. Thank you for this extension!
Why can't I make a call using this app like how I do when I have Gmail open? I don't want it to call my cellphone; sometimes, I just like the convenience of talking without holding up any phone or pressing speakerphone, just talking while using my computer.
One of my favorite tools, been using for years. GV is the only number I give out and captures all my voicemail, hardly ever listed to voicemail - the voice to text conversion doesnt work, but I can usually tell what the caller is saying. My issue is missing texts messaging, not sure how to get notifications arranged so I dont overllok getting sms to my real mobile # and my GV #. I use Android 4.0 on the mobile.

I have NO new message on my Google Voice inbox, but the extensin keeps beeping and showing that I have two. I have uninstalled it and installed it back again, but still the same thing. Very annoying. So I deleted it and am no longer using the extension
