Use this everyday one my phone, laptop and tablet, love it.
The Google Voice extension is very helpful and makes using calling and texting from Voice really convenient. It allows you to dial by clicking on phone numbers in your browser. Something I noticed, however, is that this ability is not always consistent. I haven't narrowed it down as to the cause, but since it works most of the time, it's not a big deal for me to copy and pasted the phone number in to the extension.
This works well, have a phone number set to my gmail. Other uses, I never have to listen to my voice mail through my cell, I have it converted into text, or listen through my Chromebook. I showed my mom and set her up, she uses to call almost daily with her Chromebook. My kids tablet also has it set up, so they can text their friends.
This used to be one of my most valued plug-ins. It is not integrated with the new google hangouts. Since the upgrade of desktop g-chat to hangouts, the click to call and desktop phone calling doesn't work - which is a bummer. Prior to the hangouts update I would go days and days without making a call from my physical desktop phone.
What happened to SMS...? Having to go through the extension for *another service* to use a feature of *this* service is a TERRIBLE idea.
Awesome! Waiting for my phone contract to run out so I can get "all in" with my Google number. -Highly Recommended
