Removing this feature from Google in the first place is flat out stupid, I love this feature and would change search engine than to do without it again aka BING, or some other image search other than Google if this feature goes away.

There is only one big problem for me which is it always opens images in a new tab even when I set it to not. Every time I turn off "Open images in a new tab:" when I click the x (since there is no save changes button) then click options again t is on again. Even when I don't click x and just try to "View image" it always opens n a new tab which really annoys me. I hope my explanation helps.

For obvious reason this was removed, but glad there is this extension which brings it back. This works great and I recommend it for anyone who wants the "View Image" button back.
