Google Search now displays AI-generated summary panels above traditional search results that many users find distracting. Google does not offer a built-in option to disable this feature. This extension provides a simple toggle to remove AI Overview from search pages.

User installs the extension → AI Overview is hidden by default (aiOverviewEnabled defaults to false which means hide) → User can toggle visibility via the popup → Content script monitors the DOM with MutationObserver and hides/shows AI Overview elements accordingly → Setting syncs across Chrome via chrome.storage.sync

Source code is heavily minified making exact line-level analysis difficult, but functional behavior is clearly identifiable
