Otto - A Little Friend for a Wandering Mind
A creature wanders through the vast winding meadows and flat plains of a place that has no name. Those who wander into it, call it the Garden. It's mysteries are shrouded in forgotten dreams and faded memories.
—————————————————————————————————————————————
The philosophy behind Otto is simple. It's about being present in the moment, being intentional about the things you choose to work on and a little forgiving of yourself.
It's not about trying to do many things all at once, but doing very few intentional things that move you a little forward each day.
Remember, It's small steps over a long, long time.

The Best!!
very good
The key benefit Otto brings is the pomodoro synced blocking and showing the timer on the screen. Most other solutions only show the timer on the extension panel. Having it on the screen helps me contextualize where I am in my pomodoro block and reminds me to stay on task. It's a lifesaver, because I would otherwise forget that I am in a pomodoro, and the timer helps you to work with intention. The workflows however, are currently too easy to bypass. The best improvement you can further do is to sync Otto with Google Calendar so that it will block during calendar events and automatically start Pomodoros, during a calendar event. (My workflow is to schedule a task for an hour and then work in pomodoro slots, with small breaks as breathers). Thanks!
After using this for a couple months, I really don't have anything negative to say about it. Otto does exactly what it is designed to do, block distractions and help you be more productive. Even without the upgrade, it still works well to boost productivity. The only thing I would change to make it better would be the on-screen timer. Currently it will show how much time you have left in a focus session in either a rectangle with a bar, or a tab on the side of the screen. While it is nice to see the timer countdown, sometimes that can be a bit distracting, so it would be nice to be able to turn that off if necessary. So then you could have three options, either the rectangle, the tab, or just don't show it. So then you can see the countdown timer if you want and hide it if that helps you be more productive. That would take Otto over the top for me. Overall it is a great extension and I highly recommend it so far!
very helpful
