With the Stream Recorder, you can easily save live and archived videos that are delivered in a typical HLS (m3u8) format.
Even more, if the video file type is in an mp4 format, you can record videos directly using the unique video capture function.
Downloaded audio and video data is converted to mp4 as it is with the same quality without re-encoding.
This conversion is done inside the extension, without the use of an external server.

Even though not all sites with videos can be processed by this extension (what I understand), I am very satisfied at the moment. There existed great problems if the video size was more than 4 GB. I contacted the developers and they quickly replied and suggested a work-around. The original priority mode was set by default to "Speed", where for long videos, memory issues caused a cancellation. They knew the issue and promissed to find a final solution. In the meantime they have set the default priority mode to "Memory", which may individually be reset to "Speed" by using the "settings" feature. Now everything works perfectly in my case. I want ot emphasize the very quick reaction to my inquiry. Would be worth 5 stars, but due to obviously still existing minor drawbacks I provide the extension with still excellent 4 stars. Thanks for your good help service!

It doesn't work for me. When I click the record button all I get is a window asking me to reload the page, do that, watch all the commercials again, and click record and... so it goes on and on, Clearly not made for all streaming all video
