Even more, if the video file type is in an mp4 format, you can record videos directly using the unique video capture function.
Downloaded audio and video data is converted to mp4 as it is with the same quality without re-encoding.
This conversion is done inside the extension, without the use of an external server.
Please note that Stream Recorder is not responsible for media content which you download, so we suggest to ensure the copyright and permissions of the media before downloading.

Surprisingly, this worked great on a certain paid streaming site that requires authentication! Youtube-dl failed to find the stream even after authenticating with cookies, but this one worked on the first try with no real effort. Nice!
Legit does not work
I've been used this extension for a few years and it has worked flawlessly. Only recently the past couple of weeks it no longer works on the same streaming websites I used previously. Hopefully this can be fixed as this was a great extension. There's nothing that comes close to this.
Has served me well on many occasions on several sites I've used it. Of course it doesn't work on sites that don't use HLS but when it works it's great and reliable. Figured I'd leave a positive review after using it for 2+ years on free and paid content. I've mostly used "Normal" mode as it works well enough, I've only used "Live" mode when normal wasn't working, usually ended up being an issue with how my page loaded or setup of the streaming source.
