Don't like the new Google AI overviews appearing in your search results? Perhaps you don't like the discussions section or the shopping blocks or even the sponsored links? This extension lets you hide them. It simply uses CSS to set those areas of the page to be hidden (display="none").
AI overviews are hidden by default but the options menu lets you choose what else you might want to hide: Videos, Discussion blocks, shopping blocks, "readers also ask" and sponsored blocks are also available to hide. Note that, if Google changes its CSS, we'll have to update the extension to keep pace.
You can also search the Google web results tab from your address bar by hitting w + space and then entering your query.

This is the ONLY extension like this that I've tried that actually works. And you can block SPONSORED LINKS AS WELL?! Where has this been the last five years?!
OMG, you don't know just HOW GOOD people will complement you for this! AI is destroying the web as we know it, and this is one step closer to bringing back the safe and awesome internet that people always NEED!
Blocks AI overviews!
Amazing. I hate the AI overviews. Not really sure why every corporation is dead set on adding it to everything when Google was doing fine if not better on its own without it. I also checked out the publication website in the tip jar section. I couldn't leave a review on the articles themselves but I'll say they're not only informative but also an entertaining read.

Fix it because AI will go through it also Youtube is being very aggressive to adblockers so clearly they're anti-consumerism now
Worked well... until Google started to screw things up few days ago. Now AI overview appears at random 1 +x position in list instead of first, they several times had reset user profile settings in past four days and even wiped the extensions once (and no, I didn't have Sound Booster addons they claim I had, neither this addon seem share the supply chain attack used in these, but please, check). Apparently Chrome disables add-on's access to website, effectively disabling its main function.
