Allows you to change the new tab page to the New Tab Redirect app page, or a custom URL of your choice!
Choose from chrome's about pages, *NewTab, Extensions, Downloads, History*, a few popular URLs, or provide your own. Your custom tab can also be a local file, allowing you to create your own new tab page. Saving blank text will cause your new tab to be about:blank.
Files can begin with: file:\\, file://, and file:///
Important: This is not meant to replace your homepage, only new tabs. If your browser is set to load the New Tab page as your homepage, there may be odd consequences.
Note: Because this extension perform a "redirect", I have no control over address bar highlighting or focus.

Works perfectly, but slow sometimes
Formidable !!!
Does exactly as it says. Lets you specify the URL of a page to load in New Tab instead of the default. Respects privacy by letting you choose which permissions to grant the extension. Has an option to place cursor in Address Bar after loading your custom New Tab page. Perfect! :)
A little slow, but handy
It baffles and really frustrates me that my home page and search engine keep getting reset to Yahoo, why is that even an option on Google Chrome?! This was a super simple fix, thank you!

PERO AHORA SE SALIO Y ME APARESE GOOGLE DIRECTAMENTE NO ENCUENTRO LA NEW TAB
Only giving one (1) Star for one reason. Other then my complaint, the extension has been great until now: Followed the directions on the support site to get Google New Tab App page to be my home screen, etc. Upset Google changes this all the time. Why the hell do I need a Google Search Homepage when all I have to do is type in the content in the omnibox? New Tab Redirect has worked until now.
Adjusting New Tab url settings should be a feature in chrome, but since it isn't, this is a great alternative. It does exactly what it says, but I only gave it 4/5 stars because it's slow. If you're on a fast network and computer, it's a noticeable and significant delay (~ 2 seconds). I've experienced the issue when all other extensions are disabled.
Great! However, I wish chrome added this as a standard part of the settings menu. You'd think with over 514k users using this extension, there may be a reason for that.
