If the extension causes slowness issues, especially in combination with large, preexisting highlight collections, I recommend *disabling* (not removing) the extension until an update is ready, unless you have a backup.

NÃO FUNCIONA!!!!
Hopefully the author reads this comment, there's a few important things I'd like to convey to him. First, outstanding job on just keeping it simple. I don't need yet *another* cloud account to connect to a simple tool that just doesn't need it and the overall design is simple and straight forward and it actually helps rather than get in the way. HOWEVER... There's a few things I think would help to bump this up to being a five out of five "must have" type extension. I've noticed there's comments here regarding "doesn't work". If I had to guess, I would think they're talking about persistence/saving of state of the highlighting of a page. In my case, I used the tool for close to a month before one page FINALLY saved its state properly and I realized it was an intentional feature that actually existed, just semi broken. In order to trigger this state save, I have to scroll the window so that the highlighted text is out of the current rendered area a few times and sometimes, it'll eventually save the state if I do this enough. This effectively means there's no reliable way to highlight a page, close it and come back and expect it to be there, aka, save the current state. The ONLY way I can muster this is to do my highlights and then scroll the window up and down over and over, then check the apps settings page to see if it's added the current page to it's list of stuff yet. Here's what *I* would do: Add some obvious setting somewhere for the USER to be able to MANUALLY save and/or update the state of highlights (Preferable), or, figure out exactly what's going wrong so that the existing mechanism is so incredibly flaky and fix it so the expected behavior is reliable. Personally, because of how flaky software tends to be these days, as a user, I'd appreciate an actual "save state" option in the context menu. Even with this problem, I still think you've done a damn good job with this project. Good job, well done.
Looks like there's some adware hidden in this extension. Every once in a while when I click on a link from google an ad will pop up in a tab instead of the link I clicked on. This doesn't happen when the extension isn't installed.
