Amended review... I've set the extension's option "HTML Pages -> Google Document". However, a PDF in the Chrome browser still saves as a PNG. Obviously, a PDF is not an HTML page, but this is not what I want/need. Also, if I right-click on the Drive extension icon in the browser, then select "Save to Google Drive", a tab simply opens to the "Save to Google Drive" extension listing in the Chrome webstore. Wow, does that seem like a bug or what? I might just uninstall this app and do the reliable multi-step process of (a) download PDF, (b) upload to Google Drive. Original review... Like many others, I wanted to immediately just save a PDF to Drive as a PDF, not an image. I realize you can change the format in the extension's options (to "Google Document"). It would be helpful to offer an option to prompt user for file type to save as, on every save. Some may hate that, so they could leave it disabled. I've been spoiled by my Chromebook's seamless integration of the overall OS File manager (incl Save) with Drive. Since Chrome browser comes from Google, seems like the Chrome browser could have a more elegant in-built Drive integration. But, I'll use this and I'm happy the Drive team makes it available.

Good one, better than download the document and upload it again. The only thing missing is asking where to save it each time. You need to change the setting to do what you want. if you want to save PDFs then go to the extension option>HTML pages> and select Google Document, it will then save the PDF as PDF not PNG.

This should work the same way the "Add to My Drive" button works, in that it should save to the drive but then offer the "organise" option to place in a particular folder. Offering the "choose different folder" only after you've saved into the wrong folder on Drive involves double handling and deleting. Somewhat irritating.
