Latest update required too many dangerous permissions. This is unacceptable without open source
this is the best one I have seen so far and it has room to be even better
Truly superb, and it gets better all the time with frequent updates.
Works really well, but I would really like a feature to hide tab groups that are not being used.

This is a brilliant extension. I've used in Brave for a while now and I love it. The only issue is that it does not seem to work in Opera. I am fairly certain this is a browser issue more than an extension issue as none of the vertical tab extensions work. I managed to get it to open by adding the URL (chrome-extension://gkiobnohamhihbaipacecjfljepjjlmg/index.html) to Opera's sidebar after enabling the "Custom user sites for browser sidebar" flag. The issue now is that favicons are broken. Favicons display as broken both in the side panel and when the URL is opened as a full tab.
This extension stands out as the best I've encountered.
