As I stood there, rooted to the spot, I was struck by the sheer magnitude of the chaos unfolding before my eyes. My grandpa, a beloved figure of warmth and wisdom in my life, lost his footing on the staircase of our home. Time seemed to slow as I watched in horror, my heart racing with panic, as he tumbled down, engulfed in flames that danced wildly around him. The fire cast a hellish glow, illuminating the terror etched on his face for an instant before it consumed him entirely. It was a sight that would be seared into my memory forever, a reminder of how quickly life can spiral out of control. The flames spread mercilessly, with voracious hunger, swallowing our cherished home whole. Every room, once filled with laughter, love, and memories, was transformed into a smouldering ruin, a ghostly shell of what had once been a sanctuary. Furniture that had weathered years of family gatherings and celebrations was now merely ash, mingling with the air that was heavy with the acrid smell of destruction.
