Such a helpful extension. Donate if you can. Good work should be rewarded. And it's almost Christmas... ;)
I consider AdBlock as a must-have extension for Chrome and Firefox. I donated.
amazing, blocks all the annoying pop ups
AdBlock Plus project (of course not about this one) appear many years ago for other browser and it's one of the most popular and the most frequently downloaded. How old this one? But both are so much similar... In addition subscription to filters list already was implemented there, same time titles of subscriptions here in AdBlock suspiciously match with those (ADB Plus) subscriptions! Subscriptions which we - users of ADB Plus - piling up many years. Hmmm... So I think AdBlock is stolen or plagiarism semblance of ADB Plus... In addition Plus don't tell us "It's all I can, please donate me..." It's absolutely free, same time Plus are more functional and "easy" (perfomance about). My opinion - this guys (or girls) not only don't merit donation, but also are punishable and need notice of appointment ... If you like liars, plagiarists and loafers - giv'em you money...
This is an essential extension for Chrome and I really think it should be included by default. This extension runs in the background with almost no CPU usage at all, I haven't noticed any difference in performance with an without it- And I'm referring to use on a 6-year-old Windows XP desktop.
The first software I donated to. This was just inevitable. I am now so used to seeing pages adless that I go bonkers when surfing on other's computers. Keep up the good work going!
I did not use Chrome until I found Adblock was available. Seems to be very effective. I began using Firefox because of this app and only switched to Chrome when I was able to avoid ads. An Internet without all of the irritating ads is great. I have not noticed any unusual memory or cpu usage so far. I have supported the author with a contribution in home he will continue to improve this products. It makes my Internet experience much better.
I like it, it saves me from all that filthy cruft on sites. I like the fact I can keep google text ads, they some times are related to what I am looking for and end up being my option to find a seller for a good I am looking for. Totally support people going out building their own software and publishing it privately. People chip in and give this man some money. If you think about the CPM you are not having to absorb in the form of marketing this is probably a pretty expensive app service.
Works like a charm =)
When I started at a new job and began using Chrome there, I noticed it was somewhat bothersome. Then I realized that I hadn't installed the adblock extension yet. Now life is back to normal again. Chrome without adblock is like Anita Bryant without Florida orange juice. I have not seen the CPU problem that caused "A Google User" to rate it 1 star in a review that appears prominently here (not that I doubt AGU's CPU reading). I have seen my Chrome at home consume mass quantities of memory, but I haven't experimented yet to see if any extensions are causing that. I have about 15-20 extensions installed there. No problems at work.
