Great extension that does exactly what it says: block obtrusive ads. A must for every account on every PC especially where kids access the internet. I always recommend it as the first extension TO INSTALL for all my friends; luckily it works on Chrome and Firefox so everybody can have it. There are community managed preset filters matching your preferences so you don't need to do much. Finally I strongly recommend that you donate to the developer who has done a good job updating it to catch up with the ever changing browser technology. So what are you waiting for? go and install AdBlock and it will keep your back covered!

LOVE this! It is exactly what I needed to get the clutter of ads off my screen. Definitely a must-have app. Be a decent end user and send the author a donation... he used his time, energy, and skill to create a great product!
this should be installer automatically with chrome. its a must have app.
I noticed that when this is enabled then the chat feature in Gmail doesn't work. It doesn't display the field that we type in to chat. I can read chats but not respond. I was about to give up on Chrome until I discovered this conflict. It seemed to do a good job with the ads, etc, but I needed the chat feature in gmail to work.
This extension seems to work better than Adblock Plus. ABP blocked some sites' (like facebook's) UI interactions but this extension does not do that.
Used it for years. Now I can donate. This extension saved me a lot of headhaches. Besides that on April 1st 2012 it started to show cats instead of blocked ADS. I really realized how much work this does, and also the genius of the developer! Install and, if you can afford it, donate. Thanks!!!!
Awesome extension! No more ads! I'm now spoiled... when I use other browsers, I'm always surprised by how many ads are on pages. Really awesome. No complaints here.
After using AdBlock for many years i decided it was worth thanking the creator. This is the first extension i download when i setup a new computer. My browser is really quicker to load websites and it's so cool to be able to browse without being polluted by all these adds. So thank you Michael, and to all the users of AdBlock i say if you liked it, the minimum you can do is to thank the author and if you can support him wih a donation.
