Best extension
这几天在yt平台的表现不太稳定，观看长视频的时候，总是会被yt禁用，手动启用之后，有一定的概率能正常播放视频，但也有一定的概率再次刷出广告然后被禁用，有时候需要多次尝试才能正常观看，观看短视频的时候，基本上能正常观看，但一直滑动观看新视频的时候，遇到广告视频，不是自动屏蔽、或者直接自动跳到下一个非广告视频，而是屏幕卡在上一个视频的封面不动，这时候有可能会出现广告视频的声音，需要手动滑一下跳到新视频，总而言之就是不稳定，使用体验不太好，但我依然会给出5颗星的评分，因为作为一款免费的插件，作者开发出来是付出了很多努力的，我没有付费加入，所以我对作者是充满感激的，而且我也能理解，yt是一直在打击此类插件，毕竟广告是他们的重要收入来源，这类插件等于是断绝了他们的收入，不打击才怪，所以yt一直在更新他们的广告策略，让各种插件失效，而插件作者则必须持续更新拦截规则，这个过程用汉语的说法就是“矛与盾”，攻防之间的博弈永远不会停止，总之，感谢作者开发出这么好的插件，同时也希望拦截规则能更强大一些，我个人几乎只看YT，所以我说的针对YT的拦截更强一些。

It used to work perfectly. And now it doesn't. I've been using ad block for years but recently it's been worse and worse for blocking youtube ads. I have to uninstall, reinstall, refresh countless times just to get it to work. Then it gives it's own pop-ups asking me to pay for the premium version. It's obvious what the strategy is. Time to find another blocker
Not working 4-14-25
I regularly watch youtube, so i've noticed the constant updates AdBlock has been pushing out to keep youtube ads blocked. Youtube has been blocking the ability to use tools like AdBlock, but this app specifically has been staying updated to keep the ads away! Great job
I've been using Adblock almost from the start. After an update I had some significant problems. About 90% of the ads got through. Didn't work on YouTube at all. Hundreds of unwanted cookies saved. I wrote a bad review. However the review deserved a rewrite because I fixed it myself. I backed up my custom filters to a text file. I completely removed the extension, restarted Chrome, installed a fresh copy of AdBlock, copied my custom filters back, restarted Chrome again. AdBlock was back to normal. The entire process only took about 5 minutes. Satisfied with AdBlock again. If you try this yourself don't forget to backup your custom filters, it will save some time

Cant even block youtube ads
Stopped working on Youtube. Moving on to Firefox with uBlock Origin.
