The EU regulations require that any website using tracking cookies must get user's permission before installing them. Imagine how irritating that becomes when you surf anonymously or if you delete cookies automatically every time you close the browser.
In most cases, it just blocks or hides cookie related pop-ups. When it's needed for the website to work properly, it will automatically accept the cookie policy for you (sometimes it will accept all and sometimes only necessary cookie categories, depending on what's easier to do). It doesn't delete cookies.

A la suite d'une directive de l'UE sur la vie privée, un message de consentement - cookie consent - a commencé à apparaître sur chaque site web visité. Avec le temps ce message devient rébarbatif et particulièrement agaçant. L'extension de Daniel Kladnik est donc bienvenue. Elle ne supprime pas les cookies mais informe une seule fois l'utilisateur qu'il accepte par défaut les cookies. Il suffit ensuite de les effacer. L'extension est plus efficace sur Firefox (PC et smartphone androïd)
A pleasant extension which performs its function adequately. The constant cookie warnings had driven me to a very dark place in life, so I am quite grateful towards this extension for clearing away the proverbial murk. I would say that the reasonable likelihood of it fencing your credentials to the Chinese government is a small price to pay for the vanquishment of the cookie warnings that lie in ambush whenever one dares venture onto a website for the first time. Also, for those registering their complaints about ads, one click of X per year of the gregorian calendar is probably worth the millions, perhaps even billions, of frenzied clicks that this extension will save you from having to perform.
IDIOCRACY of GDPR made me search for this extension.. Can't be more happy to find some smart ppl goin around about it.. Finally! People who invented the GDPR cookie regulations should be hanged, burned and then sent into outer space.
