Love the extension, but for a while now, It is struggling when displaying favicons. It started by not showing different opacity to easily know which tabs are suspended, but now it is showing favicons from other websites, making it confusing to know what is what.
Najlepsza w swojej kategorii. Dużo ustawień, pewne działanie. Nie znalazłem żadnych minusów.
change url = not good
Used to work very well, but now when a tab is suspended it takes several times MORE memory. Also, after not long it stops working entirely. It will stop suspending automatically and even trying to manually suspend a tab it just does nothing. Restarting the browser helps with that...for a while.
Joining the crowd. This was very convenient until a few weeks ago. It was updated, I think, to a version with several flexible features. But a consequence of the update was that tabs are suspended after a minute or two regardless of settings. Renders Tab Suspender unusuable. Please fix it soon. Also after TS update, Macbook crashed (rare) working in Brave. Three stars to be kind, turning to one star if there is no fix. Edit: Unusable, definitely now a one star, Ambitious update with dandy features failed. App continually suspends any open tab within a minute or two. Developer never fixed the defect,
Great for saving battery etc. but now suspends instantly whatever your settings. This seems to be a bug of some kind.
мне нравится есть настройка расширения и ваще имба советую
Работает, свою функцию выполняет. Вкладки остаются, но памяти не занимают, при возврате на замороженную вкладку происходит авторефреш
It is true that its not working as well as before, two major things are. 1. Periodically it starts to put tabs to sleep in 30-60 seconds. And I get the annoyance, but if you go into settings and copy your whitelist page. Remove the tab, then re-install it. It goes back to working normally again. On a side not as a companion extension to this I would also reccomend people to download Session Buddy. Cause sometimes even if you close out each window to make sure you get to open them all. It won't be saved properly. With Session Buddy it copies the windows and its links in the state it was in. So if it was suspended where the page is black (due to you having removed the extension while tabs were suspended with the extension) until you click the link. It will restore the page in that state so that you don't have to manually suspend each window again. Also avoiding having a giant spike in ram usage if you open up all the windows. 2. You can't use it with chrome//:discard like you could before and the reason given on the discard page is that the extension protects it from being able to be manually discarded, which is too bad. But I get that it was caused by the chrome update. Hopefully these are things that can get fixed over time. But at least for those who experience tabs suspending quicker than they have set it. Now you have a fix for it. Edit: One things I wish was more explained is in the settings it says Discard Tabs (New) Enable automatic discard suspended tabs to free up even more memory I'm not really clear on what that means? Is it the same as back when I could use chrome//:discard together with the extension? Except now I can't do it manually because the extension protects it from being manually discarded? If that is the case could you add a way to discard the tabs manually through the extension? Cause I've tried to turn it off and use the chrome//:discard but it still says protected and won't work.
I love this extension but the latest version keeps suspending my tabs after about a minute even though I have it set for 30 minutes! Very irritating.
