I've used similar tab extensions in the past, but tabExtend beats them all! Not only does it group links, you can also at notes, create quicklinks of your most used websites and more. What I love is that it also adds a right link option to add a site quickly. tabExtend is fast, easy to use (and learn) and very intuitive. What's also great is that the developer (Gustav) responds very quickly and is extremely helpful. He also apparently has the ability to read minds, because it turned out that he was already building the one thing that I was missing. :-) Well recommended!

AVOID! This extension doesn't really save your tabs, it only saves the urls currently on them, like bookmarks. Tabs are more than that, they also include the history of how you got there, so you can click Back in the browser and visit previous pages, THAT GETS LOST. I lost all the history of my tabs and heavily regret installing the extension, because when closing all tabs with it, it closes them one by one, so one is unable to use Chrome's History's Recently Closed to get them back. It'll also freeze the whole browser when trying to open all "tabs" back, as it'll just open as many tabs and load the bookmarks in each of them. That's terrible, compare to just closing a window with many tabs, and using Recently Closed to get them back, it's done much faster and the tabs come unloaded so not all of them get on the memory at once. The point of an extension like tabExtend is to have a permanent Recently Closed functionality (because, if you close a window with many tabs, after you close enough tabs Recently Closed will forget the whole window), but due to all the things I mentioned it fails on all accounts and it's just a bookmarker of the urls of your tabs.

I've used a few of the free competitors over the years but TabExtend is well worth paying for the Pro Version. First and foremost It's much faster so it will literally pay for itself in a few weeks anyway. It's also more much more flexible and actually fun to use. Finally, Gustav the Developer actually solicits feature requests and listens to users because I honestly think he wants to create the best app in its class. Highly Recommended!

Switched over to TabExtend from Qlearly after Q's developer became unresponsive to questions and issues. Been only using TabExtend for a few weeks but so far I'm loving it - easily the best tab manager I've used to date. The UI is clean, it's easy and intuitive to use and Gustav (developer) has been super quick to reply to any questions I had. Plus, new features are always being added. Highly recommended if you're after a robust tab manager.

Excellent Tab Manager. Very thoughtfully created features and UI It is a joy using the product. Gustav - is just an email away... like a colleague in the office. As good as it can get... Some wish-list items here 1. Active tabs - auto opens and closes. A bit distracting. IT will be good to have a "pin it" option 2. Keyboard shortcut to move between workspaces / categories / groups 3. multiple columns in groups. (I Moved from Toby which has thumbnail view and so my groups tend to be long. It will help to have either thumbnailview or multiple columns)

This is a next level tab management idea! It is easy to use with awesome UI/UX that made me love my new tab while having all my links, notes and to-dos arranged and grouped. Now I have Workspaces to switch between my personal use and work tabs, everything is synced with my account and no need to remember anything with search I can find every word! I have used another new tab extension for years but this extension is much more better, so I moved to tabExtend. Pros: Easy to use Beautiful and sleek modern design Sync from browser to account Group tabs Workspaces Notes and to-dos on the go and linked to the website. Themes: Light, dark and auto Share and teams feature Export feature Share the current workspace and collaborate in real time Support is quick and professional via chat and email. Cons: nothing for me now.
