This extension will make ChatGPT your default search engine in Chrome. Once ChatGPT has been set as your default search engine, you can search directly via your browser URL bar.

ChatGPT You can get fast, timely answers with links to relevant web sources, which you would have previously needed to go to a search engine for. This blends the benefits of a natural language interface with the value of up-to-date sports scores, news, stock quotes, and more. Chats also now include links to sources, such as news articles and blog posts, giving you a way to learn more.

In order to redirect a query to Google search, type "!g [your query]" (e.g. !g foobar) directly in your browser URL bar.

Total s***. Now my other projects have stopped working. New searches work fine as new projects, but all my old projects now show the "stop" button, as if GPT is calculating the reply infinitely.

This app is just annoying, I wish there was a feature that you can turn chatgpt search on/off easily because litterally every search is in chatgpt like if you are looking up directions for somewhere it doesnt tell you it or bring you to google maps. I would reccomend just having a browser of chatgpt on the side and keeping google.

It's ridiculous that this completely disables your existing default search engine, and does not allow you to make it a secondary search engine. Fortunately this extension isn't even necessary to use ChatGPT search, you can just add this to your default search engines: https://chatgpt.com/?q=%s&hints=search
