This eye-care extension enables night mode by creating dark themes for websites on the fly. Dark Reader inverts bright colours to make web pages high contrast and easier to read.
Adjust brightness, contrast, the sepia filter, font preferences. Enable dark mode on every web page or give websites a sepia tone. Enable or disable Dark Reader for specific websites, automatically sync with system dark mode, or detect already dark websites and leave them unchanged.
This is the original Dark Reader extension. Since 2014, we continuously evolve alongside modern web technologies to deliver fast and reliable dark mode support for people sensitive to bright light.

I use to use Deluminate. It was, for a while, the best extension for night-reading I could find. That has changed after I stumbled upon Dark Reader! It is far better than background inverting extensions. +11/10
Can you please add support for sub-domains like deviantart has? Like so it can read this for example. example1.example.ex example2.example.ex Other than that this is the most perfect extension chrome has ever produced and please, please, don't ever change it in any way shape or form, ever, please <3

This is an awesome app. Dark Reader allows me to use the dark theme to access any website including Salesforce! Love it!
Fantastic! Now if only they had an option for it to automatically turn on and off after a certain time of day.

It does not invert new tabs (the default background is unchanged). A website must be loaded so that it could work. This should be fixed.
