This eye-care extension enables night mode by creating dark themes for websites on the fly. Dark Reader inverts bright colours to make web pages high contrast and easier to read.
Adjust brightness, contrast, the sepia filter, font preferences. Enable dark mode on every web page or give websites a sepia tone. Enable or disable Dark Reader for specific websites, automatically sync with system dark mode, or detect already dark websites and leave them unchanged.
This is the original Dark Reader extension. Since 2014, we continuously evolve alongside modern web technologies to deliver fast and reliable dark mode support for people sensitive to bright light.

this worked great i tried some other ones but this one worked on all the sites i used it on
Almost perfect. On desktop, it's flawless for what I use it for, particularly I love the ability to customize how pages are inverted, i.e. change contrast to be more gray and less black. Unfortunately, I've noticed on my laptop that scrolling with the touchpad feels laggy if any of the filters are on. Setting them to off fixes the lag, but then pages are a bit too black.

Themes only darks chrome frame, this plugin darks the whole web page, and can adjust manually, which is great.
I've used this for a long time. It's generally pretty great, works nearly everywhere. The one downside though is that it is color inversion. Because of that, coloring of images and videos can be off.
my life saver
Only extension I could find that actually work with Vivaldi's Reader Mode. All the others would just work on the website itself but the moment Reader Mode is enabled, suddenly nothing worked anymore and I was blinded by bright light. Recommended if you use Vivaldi and want to change the color of Reader Mode.
