This eye-care extension enables night mode by creating dark themes for websites on the fly. Dark Reader inverts bright colours to make web pages high contrast and easier to read.
Adjust brightness, contrast, the sepia filter, font preferences. Enable dark mode on every web page or give websites a sepia tone. Enable or disable Dark Reader for specific websites, automatically sync with system dark mode, or detect already dark websites and leave them unchanged.
This is the original Dark Reader extension. Since 2014, we continuously evolve alongside modern web technologies to deliver fast and reliable dark mode support for people sensitive to bright light.

Wow, this extension is so smooth! The last extension I was using was a resource hog and caused stuttering on the sites it was enabled in, so I was always forced to choose to have either smooth scrolling or a dark site. This extension lets me have my cake and eat it, too!
First dimmer I've found that works on Qt's doc pages. That's enough to 5-star it for me. Also has a cool looking GUI. Awesome work, dev!

I freak'n Love this app!!! Saves my eyes from all the pain and stress of the bright lights during my night browsing times. Highly Recommended!
This is the absolute best extension in this class, the most professionally made and really making any page to _actually_ look good, and not just black or something similar. Great customization helps to adjust the look even further (adjustable contrast, brightness, full color to grayscale or sepia, etc.). There is also the "light" theme which keeps pages light, but subdues the contrast and replaces saturated colors with pastels to make them easier to look at.
So much easier on the eyes when browsing at night or in a dark room.
