This eye-care extension enables night mode by creating dark themes for websites on the fly. Dark Reader inverts bright colours to make web pages high contrast and easier to read.
Adjust brightness, contrast, the sepia filter, font preferences. Enable dark mode on every web page or give websites a sepia tone. Enable or disable Dark Reader for specific websites, automatically sync with system dark mode, or detect already dark websites and leave them unchanged.
This is the original Dark Reader extension. Since 2014, we continuously evolve alongside modern web technologies to deliver fast and reliable dark mode support for people sensitive to bright light.

As a migraine sufferer, I've been using this for total of 15 minutes and have already fallen in love with it. Migraine is simply incompatible with bright white web pages, and most usual color inverters don't help, as the result is too high contrast and is still painful to read. This extension allows for contrast finetuning and is awesome.
I tested many extension for darker websites. This is by far the best. Only thing it is missing is to automatically darken the pages on night time, but i still give 5 stars, just add it!

This extension just made my day! Site specific configurations is just an icing on the cake.
Amazing! Even darkens google maps, and correctly works with complex gmail! Shortcut is very handy.
