This eye-care extension enables night mode by creating dark themes for websites on the fly. Dark Reader inverts bright colours to make web pages high contrast and easier to read.
Adjust brightness, contrast, the sepia filter, font preferences. Enable dark mode on every web page or give websites a sepia tone. Enable or disable Dark Reader for specific websites, automatically sync with system dark mode, or detect already dark websites and leave them unchanged.
This is the original Dark Reader extension. Since 2014, we continuously evolve alongside modern web technologies to deliver fast and reliable dark mode support for people sensitive to bright light.

Just stopped working late last month (April 2019). Especially on Youtube. Was working fine until now. Solution: Had to completely clear my browser's cache of all information (except for forms and passwords) then reinstall the reader. Still flashes in white, for a split-second, while changing websites, though. This split-second white flashing as well as the new look (which is completely black rather than the milder black which was better because now the contrast between the black and the bright colors brings out the contrast in the bright colors even more) hurts my eyes again. I'm photosensitive and this was a good extension until the 2 issues I mentioned just appeared.

Creo que no deberían poner sitios webs en la llamada lista global de Dark Reader. Yo uso el Modo Claro de la extensión Dark Reader en algunas paginas para bajarle el brillo y aumentar grises así no me afecte tanto a la vista. Todo lo demás es una excelente extensión, es genial que exista.
It's worked perfectly until now, the only site thats not turning dark is Youtube.
I'm using a dark theme, but my browser wasn't dark enough. But then I found Dark Reader. I was skeptical at first, thinking that I'd need to fiddle around in settings. After adding it to Chrome, I was surprised by how quickly it inverted the colors - the open tabs didn't even need to be closed. In case you missed it, Dark Reader won't work on the Chrome Web Store or the history/settings pages, and you can always disable it on pages that won't load properly or sites that have a pre-existing dark mode.
