What's New in 3.0:
==================
* Updated to Manifest V3.
Before Chrome 52, the backspace key navigated back (if you weren't writing text). Many people lost their progress while working online by accidentally pressing backspace and leaving a page -- so we removed the feature from Chrome, and created this extension for those who prefer the old behavior.
This extension can't restore backspace on certain special pages, for example any of the "chrome://" pages such as Settings or Extensions.

Thanks. I was annoyed when I realised that backspace no longer worked as the back button, the alt-left thing was much less intuitive. Thanks for providing an app like this to allow users to customise their experience easier. You should do this more often when you make changes like this so that people can go back to the old way if they prefer.
Why an extension instead of an option in chrome to disable it ??? The normal behavior of backspace since 20 years and on all browsers must be the default one, and the possibility to disable this behavior should be included in chrome release options, and not in a extension !!!!
It doesn't work on localhost
after v52, an essential extension
I honestly am super disappointed in you Google. When did you become lazy and when did your problem solving become so basic and limited? This was NOT the solution for this issue, but it was the quickest way, not the "Google way". I only gave this an average score because it's not your Bast**d offsprings fault you screwed up and made a bad decision.
Thank you!! And if anyone from Google ever reads this: Shame on you. SHAME!!! For once in your life, you did bad and you should feel bad.
Stupid Chrome team! Why not you pretend to be smart to do this?
This extension shouldn't EXIST. Why on earth would they take away "backspace" which has been in browsers since the dawn of the internet? On 99% of sites you don't lose form data by hitting backspace without a input/textarea focus by checking if they're dirty. Honestly, Chrome.
Using backspace to navigate has been a feature in all browsers since last century, I'd rather you find another button to delete from forms. Obviously I wish you never removed this feature in the first place, but thanks for at least making this extension.
Why remove something everyone I know uses? Stupid. Why can't we just re-enable using a flag? Stupid.
