Search the web. Plant trees. Power the planet.
Ecosia is more than just a search engine - it’s a simple way to take climate action every day. Just by browsing the internet, you can help plant trees in biodiversity hotspots, support local communities, and combat climate change.
🌳Search with purpose
Like other search engines, Ecosia earns money from ads. But unlike them, we use 100% of our profits to fund climate action. Over 230 million trees have already been planted across 35+ countries, restoring landscapes and saving wildlife.
🔒 Your data stays yours
We only collect what's needed to deliver search results, and your searches are always encrypted. — We want trees, not your data.

Brilliant. If everyone in the world used Ecosia as their search engine we would be living in a very healthy happy world.
The only thing I don't like about this is that the theme I had on my chrome home page isnt there anymore and if I remove this from my chrome it's probably going to be because of that so if they fixed that then it would be like 100% from me
I really love the idea of Ecosia and how they post updates with their tree planting progress. There are some nit-picks that make it less powerful or as useful as google, but a few extra clicks is worth it if it helps places in need. (Really helps that Ecosia is open to feedback about bettering their extension too <3)
i like the part about planting trees and all that but the browser its self is ugly, there is little to no customizable options, i dont know why the devs of this extension cant just make it look like normal chrome, normal chrome is what im used to and sticking with, please just make the extension have all the tree planting stuff without the ugly browser stuff and just revert the design back to vanilla chrome. Ill use this extension when it doesn't mess up the gui im used to
HELL YEAH
merci et encore merci a vous tous .
Je trouve vraiment pas mal cette initiative mais à force de l'utilisé mes yeux risque de être très abîmé. Mais j'adore ! ;) Courage à ceux qui travaille dessus !
I enjoy what they are doing, I think the fact they are trying to support people and places all over the world is amazing. However, as bad as first world problems can get, the appearance of the search engine is very bland and uncustomizable. Not only that, but you have very little control over it in general. I truly want to also provide my help in supporting Ecosia, but this is something I think should be altered for a person willing to help and use it.
I can't believe someone came up with such a good idea.I love nature, and I hate when I see trees getting cut down to do construction in the area.Everytime I see that happening,I thing, "They help us,but when did we help them? (The trees)" But thanks to Ecosia,we are helping them too.Btw,why not download? It's free!
If only everything planted trees we would be green #NeedForTrees
