The search function is unable to or doesn't support Chinese retrieval of search results, hope developer can fix it. P.S. especially for matching links The biggest problem with the new version is the search experience. When searching for CJK characters, only CJK characters that come after English letters and Arabic numerals can be searched, even if the CJK characters are at the beginning of the tag. In the previous version, using string matching search gave a better experience. I found that the developers did not consider the uniqueness of CJK language search, and I hope everyone will emphasize the problems of CJK language search.
I have been using Session Buddy for years. I had 2 Edge sessions open. I happened to save it on one small session and it completley ignored the other open session. Fortuneately it had auto saved it a bit earlier so it was no great loss. Now I want t osave the two open sessions before I reboot but I cannot get it to open. Not sure what to do but to keep trying. Is there a way to force it to open so I can save the sessions. Thanks Stan
I've been using Session Buddy since around 2010 or 2011. My initial impression of v4 was NOT positive, but after improvements and fixes, I'm relatively happy with the current release. Kudos and thanks to the developers for all their hard work. v4 does take some getting used to. The History feature and the new UI is a bit unintuitive at first for those of us who have used past versions of the extension. The extension used to auto-save sessions as timestamped collections, only keeping the most recent for each session from browser open to browser close. Browser closed collections are now stored under History along with every snapshot. You don't need to make collections out of them to search them, but you can convert them to a collection. To make a collection out of a "Browser closed" snapshot, select it in History and click the Save button. While one would expect it to be automatically named using the timestamp of the browser close session, it will by default be named "untitled" and you will need to manually rename it unless you change the Settings to prompt you for a name. Personally, I think the timestamp of the snapshot should be the default if the search field is empty. That said, I like the flexibility of being able to create collections from either search results or history events. My biggest remaining gripe with v4 is that there is no automatic Snapshot cleanup, and no way to exclude Snapshots from History searches. Snapshots between Browser closes can be manually pruned via the removal button in settings, but it would be nice if there was a setting to automatically remove snapshots older than the last Browser close. While the searches are quite fast so far, there may come a time when it would be nice to avoid searching Snapshots to improve search performance. So, in lieu of automatic Snapshot pruning, a persistent checkbox next to the search field to exclude them would be nice.
The update a few weeks ago deleted all my previously saved sessions. With the current version, I just saved a session only to find out a few minutes later that it was gone along with the session I saved yesterday.
New Update, deleted all exisitng saved bookmarks.
Nova atualização é um completo LIXO
I really like the new update. Been using it for years. Perfect balance between a clean interface and not a cluttered one with loads of options. The only thing that I don't like is that when you play with how many snapshots you can keep, is you select a lower number on the Retention settings, like switching from 1000 events to 10 it automatically deletes everything and just keeps 10 or whatever lower number you select, without asking you beforehand. This is not a good behavior in my opinion. And a question. After I save a Collection can I move around the tab order? I remember I was able to do this before?
Save your ram. close tabs with the peace that they will all open again. 57 tabs and couldnt play games.
Have used Session Buddy for years and loved it (have been biggest fan), but now with the upgrade that doesn't feature Auto-Save it's next to useless for me (because I never can remember to save my sessions manually, and shouldn't have to).
