Ever needed to quickly switch between user-agent strings on the fly? Developing a site that needs to work on both mobile browsers and desktop browsers? Sick of some archaic site blocking you because you're not using Netscape 4?
The User-Agent Switcher for Chrome is the answer. With this extension, you can quickly and easily switch between user-agent strings. Also, you can set up specific URLs that you want to spoof every time.
Please note that this does not provide improved privacy while browsing the Internet and that some sites might have other means to figure out that the browser is not what it pretends to be. Running this extension can have performance impact on your browsing experience due to its need to intercept and modify the data communicated to the server.
NOTE: if some sites have problems after using a mobile user-agent, and won't switch back no matter what you spoof, you will need to switch the user-agent back to Chrome *and* clear your cookies for the sites to treat the browser normally again.

Very good plugin, but ... why access all data on all websites? That's why I put only 3 stars.
works as I hoped it would
A must have for any web developer!
very nice
Works great for exchange webmail from Linux. I used the below user agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.2; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/32.0.1667.0 Safari/537.36
Allowed me to use my Chromebook to access some of the older company web sites that won't allow access if you're not running Internet Explorer. Set to IE8 and it works fine. Result!!!
Super!
Doesn't work properly anymore. I try and set it to OSX Safari 5 and it changes to iOS. Deleting until fixed.

I've tried spoofing more than one kind of browser to be able to use the IKEA kitchen planner. It didn't work -and, strangely enough, IKEA says Google Chrome is one it does work with, and it doesn't work from my Chromebook unspoofed, either. Also tried it with the free tools at Typing Chimp, which work best with Frefox. So, I wrote to them and I told them about the things I tried and they told me this app does not actually work toward fooling theirs into thinking someone is using Firefox or any other browser their app works with. So, no joy, whatsoever!
