Ever needed to quickly switch between user-agent strings on the fly? Developing a site that needs to work on both mobile browsers and desktop browsers? Sick of some archaic site blocking you because you're not using Netscape 4?
The User-Agent Switcher for Chrome is the answer. With this extension, you can quickly and easily switch between user-agent strings. Also, you can set up specific URLs that you want to spoof every time.
Please note that this does not provide improved privacy while browsing the Internet and that some sites might have other means to figure out that the browser is not what it pretends to be. Running this extension can have performance impact on your browsing experience due to its need to intercept and modify the data communicated to the server.
NOTE: if some sites have problems after using a mobile user-agent, and won't switch back no matter what you spoof, you will need to switch the user-agent back to Chrome *and* clear your cookies for the sites to treat the browser normally again.

Works like a charm. Using outlook web app on chromium (Xubuntu) would force me into light mode. With this extension, I have the premium mode available. So it does the trick. Thx!
This plugin is great. I use this plugin in combination with Ripple, to emulate a mobile device with the proper user agent. Great for developers of mobile apps .

Good extension. Only two things to consider. First - after install I've got only basic list of browser and need to update list manually - options says there is auto-update of the user-agent list but not said when it happens and no force update option. Second - hard to say if it can show all problems with older browsers like ie6. You can switch identity but not rendering engine. I like this extension when work with intranet webpages where you can still find PC running windows 98 ^^.
I hate to join those who have rated this thing so poorly. However, it deserves the poor rating. It changed my agent status, but once I was at the site, I couldn't left click, rendering all my effort pointless. What's worse, even disabling or uninstalling it doesn't return functionality back to the browser. Please beware. You have been warned.
Excelente, uma aplicação web só permite o Internet Explorer ou Firefox. Felizmente essa extensão salvou meu dia. Agora consigo acessar normalmente tal aplicação mesmo estando no Chrome.
Selected one user agent, seemed to work. Couldn't select a different user agent after that. Does not work.
This User-agent just work on 1 day -_-
Feature-rich, allows you to add new user agent identifier strings, and to set up per-site settings (e.g. always pretend to be Firefox on Yahoo! Mail, and IE on Hotmail).
Really helpful for testing the mobile version of my site as I don't own an iPad
