High Contrast lets you browse the web with your choice of several high-contrast color filters designed to make it easier to read text.
When you install this extension, all pages are "inverted", so black becomes white and white becomes black. Press the "browser action" icon in the toolbar to toggle it on and off, or customize your settings on a per-site basis. Use a convenient keyboard shortcut to quickly change your settings while your browse.
Other extensions try to change the default colors, but this ends up breaking many popular websites. Only this extension applies filters to your page that invert almost everything - the only exception is photos, which are left alone.
Also note that the Chrome web store and other built-in pages like the New Tab page and Settings pages are unaffected - extensions like this one are not allowed to modify them, by design.

Loved it when it worked! Starting a couple days ago I could not input data on pages when this was enabled. My guess is Windows update KB3177467 on Windows 7 is what caused this to break. I really need this function. It's ridiculous how many sites use faded gray fonts!
Worked perfectly for a while, but recently it either broke or a windows update broke it and it prevents/delays click response on web pages.

Has worked well for me up to now with the exception that it is V E R Y S L O W.
I don't understand why all these extensions seem aimed at inverting white pages into black, when you should be doing the opposite... White text on a black background is MURDER on your eyes. Often I just abandon a page immediately if I see that is their color scheme because I know it will be a nightmare to read. Thankfully, despite being marketed for the opposite, this extension does function to turn white-on-black pages into the proper black-on-white that does not give you double vision. It does alter the color of any images on the page, but it's an easy click to turn it on/off so you can just do a quick switch to look at a picture before returning to proper contrast for reading the article. MY EYEBALLS THANK YOU.
Slows machine down to a stop. Easier when I can't see what I am doing, because my machine actually works.
