High Contrast lets you browse the web with your choice of several high-contrast color filters designed to make it easier to read text.
When you install this extension, all pages are "inverted", so black becomes white and white becomes black. Press the "browser action" icon in the toolbar to toggle it on and off, or customize your settings on a per-site basis. Use a convenient keyboard shortcut to quickly change your settings while your browse.
Other extensions try to change the default colors, but this ends up breaking many popular websites. Only this extension applies filters to your page that invert almost everything - the only exception is photos, which are left alone.
Also note that the Chrome web store and other built-in pages like the New Tab page and Settings pages are unaffected - extensions like this one are not allowed to modify them, by design.

When I got this all images on Google docs, slides, sheets, and all of that was invisible. I love it still though.
Didn't like the change of colors. I didn't find it easier to read.
if the inverted color ignores images and videos it'll be super hit
Even when on "normal" for the specific settings, Hangouts contacts on Gmail are white on white... Wish google and websites developped all their tools/apps with this feature by default. Saves the eyes and energy if you have a LCD screen...
If you install it... remember that it also installs on all your machines that are connected to the same gmail account The extension has a very negative effect on many sites.. and plugins you may have installed like Magic YouTube and several others. It turns windows and sites them into a monochromatic nitemare.. It needs work.. allot of work
If I were working while in bed and need the room to be darker, because the light kept my husband awake then, this background color fill might be just the thing.. but now It just makes me sad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
