High Contrast lets you browse the web with your choice of several high-contrast color filters designed to make it easier to read text.
When you install this extension, all pages are "inverted", so black becomes white and white becomes black. Press the "browser action" icon in the toolbar to toggle it on and off, or customize your settings on a per-site basis. Use a convenient keyboard shortcut to quickly change your settings while your browse.
Other extensions try to change the default colors, but this ends up breaking many popular websites. Only this extension applies filters to your page that invert almost everything - the only exception is photos, which are left alone.
Also note that the Chrome web store and other built-in pages like the New Tab page and Settings pages are unaffected - extensions like this one are not allowed to modify them, by design.

Great for reading text, just have to switch it off to see images and video.

been looking for something like this for ages now. Would be good if we could change some defaults etc.. but overall very happy with it.
This is a great idea, but probably needs a little more work. Although it works great, I later discovered that it interferes with various printing functions. One problem is when I want to print a web page to a .pdf file, the output is often very blurry. Additionally, I have found that the extension can interfere with other software processes. Don't get me wrong, for most people it may work fine, but for the kind of work I do, I have to leave the ext disabled until I intend to use it.
Den funkar, MEN, den ändrar verkligen ALLT, bilder, youtube videos och i stort sätt allt utom chrome store och möjligtvis andra sidor med, ingen aning, jag vill bara ha något som byter en ljus bakgrund mot en mörk, jag ser inte hur den här är ens i närheten av användbar någon stans om man inte alltid använder sidor med bara text...
