High Contrast lets you browse the web with your choice of several high-contrast color filters designed to make it easier to read text.
When you install this extension, all pages are "inverted", so black becomes white and white becomes black. Press the "browser action" icon in the toolbar to toggle it on and off, or customize your settings on a per-site basis. Use a convenient keyboard shortcut to quickly change your settings while your browse.
Other extensions try to change the default colors, but this ends up breaking many popular websites. Only this extension applies filters to your page that invert almost everything - the only exception is photos, which are left alone.
Also note that the Chrome web store and other built-in pages like the New Tab page and Settings pages are unaffected - extensions like this one are not allowed to modify them, by design.

Funcionou de primeira após a instalação no navegador Maxthon, mas não funcionou na própria Chrome Web Store. Ele inverteu até a página do Google, coisa que outros não conseguem. PS: inverteu na Chrome Web Store no Baidu Browser, o comportamento parece variar por navegador mas sim, o complemento funciona.
It was helpful, but could have done better if colors could be selected. But I had to disable it because at some point everything got screwed up with pages being extended in both height and width.
Works well, great for sites with bright backgrounds since I can't stand them without straining my eyes. You can modify the 'enable' shortcut to whatever you like.
We are all different.. Grayscale is Nice.. BUT some of us Need to change the degree.. And Change white crap to other colors that are more easy to see.. I have a lot of Floaters.. and a Lot of white on any page is very hard to see.

I love this extension, but for the past couple weeks or so, it's been creating a huge amount of blank space in webpages. There's both a horizontal and vertical scrollbar on every page, even where there should not be. Scroll down or to the side and you see lots and lots of white space. I don't know if this is directly related, but I'm also having issues with new tabs and searches slowing down and often crashing my browser. I disabled all other extensions to make sure, and yes, High Contrast is the culprit. I hope the developer is able to release a fix soon. I really love this extension. Edit December 18: more than two months after I left this initial review, and these issues still haven't been addressed. This is not a matter of personal preference – these bugs make the extension virtually unusable. Very disappointing.
