I’ve tried a lot of ad blockers before, but uBlock Origin is on another level. It blocks all kinds of ads without slowing down my browser. Super lightweight, no tracking, and just works silently in the background. Honestly, it made my browsing way smoother and faster. If you’re looking for a clean, no-nonsense ad blocker, this is the one. Totally recommended!
You might see some bad reviews because this extension just reversed its "permission-less" policy. Permission-less adblockers don't work! Adblockers need permission to modify the page you are seeing to completely remove the ads from the page. That's why it wasn't very effective by default before.

Stop fear mongering people. Obviously it needs read and write access to websites. It needs to read the site to find the add and write new or empty content over it so you don't see the ad. How else would an ad blocker work? Its not as good as the original, but that's Google's fault. The switch to Firefox is underway for me though.
